Emerging rapper Lil Peep has died, according to multiple reports.
Peep, born Gustav Ahr, died at the age of 21, his UK representative confirmed to the Guardian. The cause of death is unclear.
His manager Chase Ortega tweeted, “I’ve been expecting this call for a year. Mother f---.”
Peep, who grew up on Long Island, debuted his full-length album “Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1” about three months ago.
He got his start recording his own songs on a $200 microphone plugged into his laptop and sang about drugs, suicide, and failed relationships.

Billboard Magazine reported in August of this year:
Emerging emo artist Lil Peep has recently gained a great deal of traction in the alternative hip-hop scene, establishing a greater platform for himself to speak out to his fans about topics he cares about like like mental health.
On Tuesday (Aug. 8 [2017]) the recording artist took to Twitter to open up about his sexuality to his fans, sharing that he identifies as bisexual. He blatantly tweeted, “yes I’m bi sexual.”
